Lego 7915 - V-Wing Fighter

The V-wing fighter was one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it space crafts that made a brief appearance in Star Wars Ep. III: Revenge of the Sith. It was part of the Imperial fleet after the fall of the Galactic Empire. It has a working cockpit and rotating wings to toggle between flying and landing modes. A nice colour design of black and silver enhances its menacing look. To top it off, it comes with two mini-figures - a new-look Imperial pilot and a silver astromech droid (R2-Q2). The V-wing fighter measures 12cm wide and 22cm long. However, at 139 pieces and almost similar price point to the Lego 7929 - The Battle of Naboo set, this is relatively pricey.

Box (front)

Box (rear)

Contents (lots of air)

Two sealed bags, one loose piece, instruction booklet and the dreaded decals

Best thing about this set - Mini-figures (R2-Q2 and Imperial pilot)

Build process:

V-wing (front)

V-wing (top)

V-wing (rear)

V-wing (flying mode); Note that the stand is not included

Cockpit with astromech droid head. Unfortunately, the droid head had to be detached from its body to fit on the V-wing fighter.

Completed set; astromech droid body and spare bits
